Q: how long until christmas arrives?
Angle: read the signs
Some designers hate doing Christmas cards and others love them. Angle falls into the second category. The challenge of creating a new spin on traditional concepts always requires some brain-power. Angle’s local bus stop provided the answer this year.
Three Kings is the next suburb along from Mt Eden (Angle’s home). The LED display
at the bus stop shows the next bus times and destinations, in this case Three Kings.
Buses are known for arriving in threes... and so are kings at Christmas. Let’s hope they come bearing gifts.
A simple copy message inside the card ties the concepts together.

Angle Three Kings Christmas 2011
Angle’s Christmas card for 2011 puts a new spin on the arrival of the three kings bearing gifts.
A local Auckland bus stop sign provided the necessary visual.

Christmas is coming
The front of the Christmas card features a photo of the bus stop LED sign with a view of Mt Eden village shops in the background.

None for ages...
Isn’t that always the way?
